As a vegan visiting Lisbon, I know you are concerned about finding the right place to enjoy a meal.
There is no need to be concerned, as Lisbon has changed over the years since I lived there.
These days, you can find some of the best vegan restaurants in Lisbon where you can enjoy delicious food.
So brace yourself for enjoying many vegan options when looking for Portuguese cuisine to savor the moment.
1. Veganeats Cafe
Veganeats is on my list of the best vegan brunch spots in Lisbon. It is a worthy option for enjoying a homemade breakfast ๐ฅฃ and brunch.
The vegan cafรฉ offers a range of gluten-free and vegan options. The price is above average but worth checking out, especially the Chai pancakes.
Enjoy a tofu scramble, avocado toast, cakes, and coffee. For something light, a bowl of granola is highly recommended.
2. My Mother’s Daughters Lisbon
My Mother’s Daughters is another place that serves delicious food made with fresh seasonal produce. You can sit outdoors to eat mung wrap, banana bread, lattes, and more.
Or indulge in their Wellbeing Lattes menu, which offers many options. Everything tastes good and is very filling. You can even enjoy some vegan cake and coffee.
3. Comobรฅ
Here, you can enjoy some brunch with vegan Portuguese food. It is a coffee shop with a vast vegan menu and organic coffees.
They provide homemade milk made from almonds, rice, and coconut. Although the menu is not entirely 100% plant-based, the dishes remain impressive.
Try the tempeh roti burrito, a delicious ๐ treat, or nibble on the vegan galette of mushrooms, vegan cheese, phyllo pastry, and spinach.
Their chai pancakes are to die for. They are served with apple, chai vegan butter, whipped vegan cream, and maple syrup.
Planning On Going To Lisbon?
I’ve created a trip planner where you enter the number of days you’re going and what activities you want to do.
Based on your input, you then get an entire vacation planned with ideas.
4. The Green Affair
The Green Affair serves mainly vegan dishes and is a European-style plant-based restaurant.
It has a large space for dining. Enjoy a great lunch combo, starting with a main dish and a non-alcoholic drink. ๐
The Tofu Lagareiro is a traditional Portuguese dish with a twist, while the Katsu curry, an Indian food, is not too bad either.
For starters, you can enjoy focaccia and dumplings.
5. Jardim das Cerejas Lisbon
Jardim das Cerejas is a gem that serves fresh produce, including cake. You can enjoy sitting in this cozy restaurant and eating from the vast vegan menu.
Think of salads, cold or hot dishes, vegetable dumplings, pakoras, spaghetti carbonara, and more.
You can even order a hot dish like curry with brown rice. They are reasonably priced.
6. daTerra Parque das Naรงรตes
You can find these food chains throughout Lisbon, with a central one in Bairro Alto.

8. Shee Ram Restaurant Lisbon
Another Indian food restaurant serving vegan dishes is the vegetarian restaurant Shee Ram Restaurant.
You can enjoy authentic Indian cuisine here. It is best to head there for lunch with a reservation, as you get peace and great lunch options.
It gets busy and noisy at dinner, but you must try the aloo chaat, samosas, rotis, sev puri, green Gujarati curry, and jeera rice. The curry is a bit dense.
Add a puree of spices and greens to rice, or enjoy it with a dip and rotic. They do not serve animal products but use mostly vegetarian dairy products.
It would be great to see these Indian restaurants go fully vegan.
9. Kong Vegan Restaurant
Kong is an artful restaurant that is great for enjoying a vegan dinner. You find a chill vibe with no fuss attached to enjoy great food there. You can get some tremendous veganised versions of comfort food.
The rice and fish dish is divine, and a version made of celery root is also excellent. It might not be tofish, but it remains excellent. You can also enjoy a tasty Bitoque seitan steak with egg.
10. O Gambuzino Lisbon
Another place serving a daily menu of plant-based tapas is O Gambuzino. You can start with starters that are small plates, and then order your main dish.
The starter menu and main course have an exotic flavor. Try the Bibimbap bowl with seaweed, kimchi, brown rice, and mushrooms topped with egg yolk.
The mushroom-based scallops served in green pea foam are also worth trying. The food is filling, and you will have a pleasant dining experience.
11. Legumi Sushi Vegan Lisbon
Whether you head to Legumi Sushi Vagan or sit at the Machimbombo bar, you can order their food from the menu.
Legumi is a cozy place serving vegan sushi, and it is best to reserve a table with them for dinner.
You can enjoy vegan and vegetarian food here, from vegan sushi to other Japanese dishes. I recommend trying the sushi boat, which serves a selection of sushi.
12. Organi Chiado
Organi Chiado does not have a huge space but also has outdoor seating and is best to reserve for dinner.
The vegan menu is limited as they use seasonal organic ingredients. You can try the seasonal menu for your mains, such as soup and pasta.
But the prices are a bit high, and the service is excellent. Try the pecan pie, as it is heavenly.
13. Mother Burger
If you love vegan junk food, make your first stop at Mother Burger. You can find them in four different locations. Here, you can order some burgers and fries with an Oreo milkshake.
14. Arkhe
For a romantic date night, visit Arkhe in Chiado for fine plant-based dining. Here, you find a health food restaurant powered by Chef Joรฃo Ricardo Alves and Alejandro Chรกvarro.
Enjoy Asian-style dishes with a touch of French cuisine. Alejandro also has an extensive wine background and an impressive national wine list with organic options.
The daily menu offers a variety of starters, mains, and desserts, all vegetarianโand vegan-friendly. You can also choose food from the tasting menu, which changes monthly and features seasonal products.
