When I moved from Copenhagen to live in Lisbon, I was vegan and thought it would be impossible to find vegan brunch in Lisbon spots. But I was pleasantly surprised.
Today, many restaurants offer vegan options, and some are entirely vegan. I ate lunch at Princesa do Castelo back then. Unfortunately, it’s closed today.
I grabbed something for breakfast at Paderia Portuguesa; they have some vegan options. For brunch, I went to Amelia for delicious 😋 vegan options.
But today, most of Lisbon’s brunch places offer vegan food.
1. Veganeats Cafe
Veganeats Caffe is a small vegan bakery with outdoor seating. It is pet-friendly and easy to bring with your fur babies.
You can enjoy delicious vegan dishes here, but the traditional Portuguese and vegan desserts are the best.
You will drool 🤤 over the vegan cakes, especially the pineapple cake with salted caramel. You can also try the sweet potato or chocolate cake with rosquilha and peanut butter.
Here, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast or afternoon tea at an affordable price. You can also buy some salty snacks to take home.
2. Jardim das Cerejas Lisbon
Jardim das Cerejas might open later, but it will offer affordable dining.
Here, you can enjoy a vegan brunch with an all-you-can-eat buffet, salads, hot entrees, and main dishes with sauces. The menu changes daily, from eating vegan pizza to pasta dishes, lasagna, and curries.
You can eat your fill and leave, paying around €8.50, plus €1.50 for freshly squeezed orange juice. For dessert, you can enjoy some fabulous vegan cakes.

3. The Food Temple Lisbon
For a great food experience and one of many cozy restaurants in Lisbon, visit The Food Temple. You find it in a courtyard with outdoor seating.
It helps to book a reservation for sitting outdoors. You can enjoy mouthwatering vegan Portuguese food. The tapas menu changes daily if you want to head here for dinner.
Everything is tasty and fresh, and they serve delicious 😋 pasta and potato salad with a mushroom antipasti and green salad.
You can order a main dish of vegan seafood made with vegan shrimp out of potato starch and algae-tasting shrimp 🦐.
For dessert, you can enjoy creme brûlée; of course, there is breakfast for the early-morning people.

At Don For Cafe, you can catch a late brunch or lunch at this eco-friendly cafe and enjoy coffee and tea with a snack.
You can order toast, quicker, pizza, or sandwiches; the brunch plate is a must-try. It is loaded with homemade food, and you can enjoy the cozy space.
Enjoy smoothies and juices to soothe the throat. For the sweet tooth, you can eat some delicious cake. It is also a great place to get gluten-free food.

My Mother’s Daughters serve healthy food, and it is an ideal place to enjoy brunch.

For a retro vegan option to enjoy a vegan ice cream on those hot days in the city, head to Scoop ‘n Dough.
You can enjoy unique ice cream flavors and frosted and filled donuts here. There are a few stores in Lisbon, but the one in Chiado comes highly recommended.
Try the dark chocolate with passionfruit and strawberry 🍓 it is super tasty.
9. Kong Vegan Restaurant
Kong is one of those snug and artful restaurants serving traditional and international vegan meals, desserts, and cocktails.
The best part is that you can enjoy vegan dishes, and they provide high chairs; it is dog-friendly. It is one of the best vegan brunch spots in Lisbon, Portugal. Everything inside is in a natural style, and there are many tables.
Enjoy vegan fish with salad and rice, or try the traditional Portuguese dish Francesinha. It is a sandwich with vegan cheese and tomato sauce on top.
Also, do not miss out on trying some dessert. The Snickers cake is delicious.
10. Plant Base
Another fantastic place with tasty food is the Plant Base vegan restaurant in Lisbon. You can enjoy vegan burgers, tacos, pizzas, and more here.
Enjoy some nachos for starters, but be warned: They are spicy. Still, serving them with sour cream and guacamole would be nice, but they remain tasty.
The vegan pizza is also great; the fish ‘n chips are another must-try. They are made with mashed peas and taste like fish fingers.

There is outdoor seating, and you can order from their super-long vegan menu filled with plant-based goodness.
Think of vegan pancakes, risotto, toast, wraps, vegan burgers with vegan cheese, and more.
The guacamole wrap is a favorite on the menu, made with roasted tofu sticks and scrambled tofu filled with mushrooms.

A favorite is the Tiffin Baked Beans, made with homemade tomato sauce, sourdough, beans, and poached eggs. Try the sourdough served with Avocado 🥑 Tartine for the avocado person.
The Vegan cafe is affordable, and you can enjoy freshly-pressed juice and vegan banana bread.
15. daTerra Parque das Nações
Another one of the favorite spots for vegan food and fresh produce is daTerra Parque das Nações.
The menu changes daily, and there are two locations, one in Bairro Alto and the other in Parque das Nações.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are affordable here. Vegan pancakes, beaked beans, Tofu scramble, fruit, smoothie bowls, and more are available.
16. Comobå
For the best vegan brunch in Lisbon, look no further than Comobå. It is a coffee shop that sells organic coffee.
Enjoy housemade milk made from rice, coconut, and almonds. The menu is not 100% plant-based, but the vegan breakfast dishes are impressive.
A delicious 😋 treat on the menu is the tempeh roti burrito or the vegan galette, which consists of spinach, confit mushrooms, onion, spinach, and vegan cheese in phyllo pastry.
Another favorite dish for breakfast is the chai pancakes served with chai vegan butter, apple, maple syrup, and whipped vegan cream.
17. A Padaria Portuguesa
For a quick brunch on the go, A Padaria Portuguesa is a great place to find vegan dishes. Think of a brioche bun topped with coconut or a mushroom salad from organic coffee grounds. Here, you find no shortage of delicious vegan treats.
