2. Dear Breakfast Lisbon
While Dear Breakfast does not open early, it remains one of my other breakfast spots in Lisbon. You enjoy a minimalist eatery tucked away behind the Arco da Rua Augusta.
I recommend sitting upstairs to get a full view from the balcony and watch the people walk below. Enjoy a very expansive fresh food menu that includes vegan options.

3. Café Janis
Head to Cafe Janis for coffee if you have an early breakfast routine. It is a Parisian-style cafe with a patio that serves breakfast, brunch, coffee, cocktails, and wine.
You find them in the Cais do Sodre district serving delicious 😋 food. Whether your favorite breakfast is stuffed croissants, platter, fresh salads, toasted focaccia, or in need of a sweet treat, you can order it here.

4. Augusto Lisboa
Augusto Lisboa serves a hip breakfast and brunch to enjoy banana bread, savory toast, salads, juice, ice cream, and salads.
Sit at one of the street-side tables and enjoy your Lisbon breakfast in the Alfama district. Portuguese breakfast dishes are served on colorful plates.
I recommend the bacalhau, a dried salted cod you pair with some smashed avocado and radish served with spinach on toast.

Another hidden gem for the best breakfast in Lisbon is Pastelaria Alfame Doce. While it may look small from the outside with the locals milling outside, the inside is huge.
Inside, you find traditional Portuguese treats, and if you prefer a breakfast staple of mouthwatering pastries and bread, this is where you should be.

6. Early Birds Lisbon
Early Birds Lisbon is made for morning people who enjoy a decadent menu. Still, while the name suggests early birds, it only opens at nine a.m.
It is a lovely cafe that serves breakfast all day. You can also find strange burgers in which the meat is substituted with scrambled eggs. It also offers brunch combinations, including French toast, avocado toast, banana bread, and other treats.
If you have kids, they can order from the Peppa Pig set; the sleek cafe is pet-friendly. Once they’ve finished, you can head across the street to Nannarella, one of the best gelato spots for sweet treats.
7. Seagull Method Cafe
Seagull Method Cafe is in Principe Real, and you need not fight for a table. Here, you can enjoy fantastic, colorful brunch options until 6:00 PM.
Sit down at mismatched seats and feast on Platedavo Toast, canary-yellow corn fritters, or fruit-piled pancakes.
You can also enjoy fresh bread, cheese sandwiches, or a slice of cake.
8. La Boulangerie Lapa
At La Boulangerie Lapa, you can enjoy breakfast early on the terrace. Enjoy a delicious breakfast of croissants baked fresh with flaky buttery shells.
They are baked fresh throughout the day, and it is best to clutch a morning batch to take with you. If you arrive late, you will not get space under the red umbrella, but you can find a seat inside.
Here, you can build your brunch with fruit and yogurt, add pastry or bread selections, and end it with sugar-dusted pancakes.

Copenhagen Coffee Lab is another favorite spot and was my go-to place when I first moved to Lisbon. Nothing like home, right?

They are located in four locations throughout the city. Until closing, you can easily find fresh bread if you visit the Alc’ntara location.

Starting your day at Hygge Kaffe, you will feel at home. The name is Danish and means cozy, making it an inviting place.
You can enjoy delicious fruits, waffles, pancakes, and egg dishes. You can also start your day with a traditional Portuguese breakfast.
You can even order tasty chocolate cake in this beautiful, light-filled space.
11. Maria Limão
Maria Limão is a bright, cheery cafe that started as a lemonade cart seen at most of the miradouros in town. Now, it is a cafe with several delicious fruits.
Furthermore, their breakfast and brunch menus are full of show-stealers, especially homemade crepes with sweet or savory toppings.
You can also enjoy the scrumptious Dutch-style poffertjes (mini pancakes). Choose from a vegetarian and gluten-free menu, and with the view of the Tagus River, it is a bonus.
12. Flora and Fauna
For a trendier breakfast in Lisbon, visit Flora & Fauna. All the locations offer pancakes, acai bowls, and botanical decor. Flora & Fauna is an excellent place for a breakfast scene and serves a mean brunch. There is also a cocktail bar if you want to enjoy one with your meal.
13. Comoba
Comoba is a trendy cafe offering the best breakfast in Lisbon. It serves healthy dishes without refined sugars or processed ingredients. The cafe sources its products from local farmers and makes its own almond milk in-house.
14. A Paderia Portuguesa
A Paderia Portuguesa is a legendary bakery franchise with a simple, bright, and breezy concept. I love their croissant brioche, which melts in your mouth.
Still, you can find many other delicious treats, from banquettes, cheese & ham sandwiches, juice, espresso, sausage rolls, donuts and more.
