For the best Lisbon sunsets, head to Sao Jorge Castle, which dominates the city. Here, you can be the hill king and get fantastic views.

The castle remains open until late (March to October) at 21h00 and (November to February) at 19h00.

Here, you can find the best panoramic view of Lisbon, and at sunset, there are fewer crowds, so you can sit back and relax with a glass of wine and good company.

So sit back and relax, looking far over the terracotta roofs.

Miradouro da Graça also goes by Sophia de Mellow Breyner Andresen’s viewpoint.

It is a popular viewpoint in Lisbon at any time of the day, and you can expect amazing sunsets at night.

Still, it is busy with visitors as Tram 28 has a direct stop here. It is one of many popular sunset spots with a panoramic view.

Adjacent to it is the scenic church of Graca, and a nearby park with a fountain gives it a romantic vibe.

Still, if you have the energy, walk a block or two up the street to the Senhora do Monte viewpoint for the best sunset experiences.

On the highest point of Miradouro Graca, you find Senhora do Monte, part of the churchyard.

It is a short walk from Rua da Senhora and is one of the highest points in the city with sweeping views.

You can take excellent pictures of geographical landmarks like Sao Jorge Castle and the Tagus River here.

At the same time, you can enjoy watching the sunset peacefully. Tourists do not often visit it.

Santa Catarina borders Bairro Alto and is full of lovely pastel-painted houses. It is a popular area where you find Miradouro de Santa Catarina.

You can walk along the expansive terraces to enjoy the lively summer atmosphere, live music, and the best view over the Tagus River.

Another thing that is not noticed is the mythical sea monster Adamastor, a statue created by Camões.

The statue symbolizes the monster feared by many sailors in Portugal.

7. Miradouro do Monte Agudo

Miradouro do Monte Agudo is further past Senhora do Monte when you keep heading away from the city center.

Do not let the distance put you off. It is a panoramic viewpoint from which you can see the entire city with the golden glow of the sun going down.

To the west of the viewpoint, you find another elevated sunset spot, Miradouro da Penha de França.

While you can get some of the best views at any of the miradouros, the best spots to see the sunset in Lisbon are at a rooftop restaurant or bar.
