Spring in Lisbon is absolutely beautiful and the ideal time to visit the hilly city. You see the flowers start to blossom, everything smells good, the sun is really starting to shine, and people are outside more.
Spring in Lisbon starts on the 20th of March and ends on the 20th of June. It’s a fantastic time to be here because there are not a lot of people compared to the summer, and flight tickets and accommodation are much cheaper.
This is why I love to visit Lisbon during spring, as I feel I have it all for myself without the baking hot temperatures you get in July and August.
Don’t worry if. You’re in doubt about what to do because there are a lot of events happening, beautiful parks to walk in, and incredible food to eat.
What’s the Weather Like During Spring in Lisbon?
The weather in spring in Lisbon can be pretty wet, but in general, it’s mild weather. The temperature averages 13°C(57°F) to around 25°C(77°F).
As soon as you get past March, the weather usually starts to clear up, and then you will have amazing sunny weather.
What I love about Spring is how you can walk outside with a short-sleeve t-shirt without being too hot or too warm.
It’s not as hot in the summer, but it’s just the perfect temperature.

There are some events happening, but when the weather allows for it, you need to be outside and enjoy the nature and beauty of Lisbon.

- Lisbon Botanical Garden: A beautiful hidden garden in the middle of Lisbon in Principe Real.
- Seven Hills: Lisbon is known for its seven hills, and while you might not walk all of them, you will most likely walk some of them, and they have beautiful viewpoints.
- Lisbon Fashion Week: Another event happening during spring in Lisbon if you’re into Fashion.
- LXFactory & Street Art: In Alcantara, you find LXFactory, an old factory transformed into a hipster area with stores and restaurants. There is also some street art but go to Alfama to experience the most street art.
- Sintra Day Trip: Sintra is a beautiful area just a little hour via train from Lisbon. The nature, castles, and cute little city make this a perfect day trip.
- Time Out Market: If you’re in doubt about what to eat for dinner or lunch, this is the perfect place. It’s a food hall with extremely high-quality food where you can all eat something different and sit together and eat.
